THE TEACHINGS OF THE BELOVED COMPANION:
a workshop from 13th to 15th September 2019
Given by Jeanne de Quillan and Rai d’Honoré
SIMPLE PRINCIPLES FROM AN ENLIGHTENED LIFE

This two and a half day workshop, following on from the Cathar Pilgrimage Tour, provides an in-depth examination of the teachings and philosophy contained in the Gospel of the Beloved Companion, their historical interpretation by the Tradition that has preserved this extraordinary document, and their relevance as a foundation for a dynamic spiritual practice that can be utilized in today’s modern world.
This workshop will lead the student further into the Gospel to examine in depth each of the core teachings as they present themselves as part of the narrative. We will then compare the content of these teachings with those found in the comparable philosophies of other spiritual traditions. Finally, we will examine the historical interpretation of the teachings of the Gospel of the Beloved Companion by the preserving community, and see how the resultant philosophy has helped and guided that Tradition through its stormy, and at times deadly, history at the hands of the Roman Church and its Inquisition, producing a powerful spiritual practice that has lead its practitioners to a profound understanding of what is meant by Unitive Consciousness or the “Kingdom of God”.
